OODLTRACK | Abu Dhabi Media and STARZPLAY partner to stream Serie A for three seasons | ABU DHABI, UAE | PR Newswire | Abu Dhabi Media (ADM), the leading public service broadcaster and media company in the United Arab Emirates, and STARZPLAY, the MENA region’s fastest growing subscription video on demand (SVOD) service, have acquired the exclusive rights to stream premium matches from the Italian League (“Serie A”), the “Coppa Italia” (Italy Cup), and the “Supercoppa Italiana” (Italian Super Cup), for the next three seasons beginning with this year.
Following a fierce competition, the Italian Football Federation awarded ADM and STARZPLAY the rights to broadcast the European league. The goal of this endeavor was to provide football fans with the greatest possible viewing experience while adhering to the highest possible broadcasting standards.
Because STARZPLAY has more than 2.1 million users in regional markets, “Serie A” clubs will get the greatest visibility they need to grow their brand across a population of 400 million people. The transaction is a shining example of ADM and STARZPLAY’s ability to work together effectively.
